Oshawa, Ontario (December 1, 2005) – General Motors of Canada dealers and retailers delivered 36,170 vehicles in November 2005, a 0.8% increase over the same month last year. Passenger car sales for the month were down 2.1% to 17,390 units while truck sales increased by 3.7% to 18,780 units.
Marc Comeau, GM of Canada’s vice-president of sales, service and marketing said:

“We are pleased with the overall increase in sales, particularly the small category. G6, Cobalt, Pursuit, Aveo and Wave continue to sell beyond our expectations and we also see strong growth in the luxury segment with Saab and Cadillac. In between these two segments, Buick Allure continues a trend that began with its launch as it outsells the two vehicles it replaced.”

“November was a solid month and we expect our newest consumer promotion Ring and Win coupled with our new vehicles to result in a positive year of vehicle sales,” concluded Comeau.
